Consultation and Decision-making
The PhenomUK Research Infrastructure Scoping Project will consult as widely as possible across the UK phenomics community while maintaining clear decision-making processes.
While the core activities of the project are organised around three component Strands, a distinct Directorate will provide project management and address higher-level and cross-cutting issues. We will communicate and where possible align activities with other relevant national and international infrastructures (e.g. ELIXIR, EuroBioimaging), networks and projects. We will take every opportunity to promote the PhenomUK research infrastructure to policy makers and raise public awareness of UK phenomics.
We will work towards the production of a proposal and Business Plan for a full national research infrastructure, drawing upon the topic-specific Action Plans produced by the Strands and advice from appropriate external consultants and stakeholders. The Directorate comprises a Management Board, Director, Project Advisory Board and Participating Institutions Board. At launch it draws upon the expertise of colleagues from 18 UK institutions.
