While the range and power of the tools available to the phenomics community has expanded rapidly in recent years the field is still developing. If PhenomUK is to provide the most effective and efficient research infrastructure possible into the future it must provide services that engage with and develop tools and methods at all Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs). PhenomUK will monitor and evaluate emerging technologies, tools and methods, liaising with industry and other technology development agencies to support the next generation of phenotyping products and promoting best practice and commonality of procedures and technologies across the UK.
